Callian and beyond:
Callian is
situated in the Eastern extremity of the Department du Var on the border of the Alpes Maritime and is perched alongside the
neighbouring village of Montauroux , high on the hillside above the mountain lake of St. Cassien. Both
Callian and it’s neighbour, Montauroux are steeped in hstory. In Callian wander through the narrow
streets to explore the village where you will come upon places such as the Chateau Goerg, home to the Expressionist Painter
Edouard Goerg (1893-1969), although born in Sydney, Australia, Goerg was considered to be a ‘French’ artist. Both
he and his wfe are buried in the grounds of the Chateau.

And in Montauroux, while away an hour or two discovering the many historic buildings that the village
has to offer or enjoy a drink in the square where you can watch the locals play Boules.

| Seillans |
Below the villages lies the
Lac St. Cassien where both watersports and some of the best freshwater fishing in the area can be found. There
are a wealth of small picturesque villages such as Mons, St. Cezaire, Seillans and Fayence to explore. Further
afield you will be captivated by the Perfume Capital of the world, Grasse and Vence, which became a favourite of artists such
as Chagal and Mattisse have they have both left a lasting legacy in the form of a museum and artwork in two of the Chapels.

Along the coast to the East and within easy distance
you will find the towns of Nice, Antibes, Juan-le-Pin and Cannes which are favourites of the rich and famous, as is
the town of St. Tropez to the West where you will also find the Roman Town of Frejus, the man-made
‘Little Venice’ of France, Port Grimaud. With Italy just 90 minutes away, Villa Céline
is ideally placed to explore and enjoy the Cote d’Azur.

GOLF:
Just 10 minutes drive
down the hill will find you at a World Class Golf Resort and a further twelve 18 hole Golf Courses in the area means that
golfers will be spoilt for choice.
MOTOR RACING: Monaco
is reachable in an hour, Villa Céline is the perfect place to stay for the glamorous Monaco F1 Grand Prix. Travel by
Road, Helicopter, Rail or Boat. We can assist you with making the arrangements if required and are happy
to work with individuals and corporate clients to ensure that every requirement is catered for.
SKIING: There are a number of ski slopes within an easy drive of Villa
Céline that offer both excellent skiing and snowboarding. Often there is snow as late as mid-April
so guests can enjoy both the warmer weather on the coast as well as fun in the snowier climes of the Haute Alpes.
FISHING: The Lac St. Cassien is just a few minutes drive from Villa Céline and has an excellent reputation
for Carp (open all year), other fish such as Pike and other predatory fish are caught in the lake during the season.
WATERSPORTS: The Lac St. Cassien provides an ideal playground for water babies as you can hire Pedeloes, Canoes, Rowing
Boats and Windsurfers. For those who prefer the open seas there are a number of places where Boats, Yachts,
Windsurfers and Jet-Ski’s can be hired.
FESTIVALS:
The most famous Festival of them all must be the Cannes Film Festival which is held in May every year, however
there are many more worth going to such as the Lemon Festival in Menton in February, Nice Carnival in February and the Jazz
Festivals of Nice and Juan-le-Pins in July.

OUT FOR KIDS
Aquatica: Adventure park with
water activities and a jungle park in Fréjus. Pedal boats, tubing, the twister and restaurants with fun themes for
kids.
Le Visiobulle:
Boat trips on a funny yellow boat with a glass bottom. Open from March to 30 September (except in bad weather). Board
the boat in Juan-les-Pins, opposite the Maison de Tourism.
